Meet Dr. J. Peter Kierl
Dr. J. Peter Kierl earned his Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. His Master of Science in orthodontics was completed at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

In the Orthodontic Community
Dr. Kierl has lectured nationwide on various topics in orthodontics. His two main teaching interests are self-ligating orthodontic brackets and the use of digital virtual treatment planning in the orthodontic field. He also teaches monthly as an associate clinical professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, in its Department of Orthodontics.
Outside the Office
Dr. Kierl has lived in Edmond, Oklahoma, since 1981. He is married to Barbara Maloney Kierl. They have three children — Kevin, Brian, and Jessie — and a dog named Frodo. Dr. Kierl enjoys playing a round of golf when he has the time, but spends most of his free time with his family. He also coaches grade school and junior high basketball.
